Straight Dope: A 360 degree look into American drug culture is a book that asks the question: Why are drugs entrenched in America? I speak with drug dealers, addicts, teachers, counselors, and parents about the issue. We talk about people’s experiences with meth, how teachers cope with children from drug infested homes, the legal marijuana industry, and how a parent teaches his child to say no.

We’re guessing it’s non-fiction then?
Straight Dope: A 360 degree look into American drug culture is a non-fiction, sociology book.

What kind of readers will it be attractive to?
I think that anyone who is concerned or interested in how drugs are so infested in American. From the everyday person to a sociology professor, many people would be interested in reading Straight Dope.

So that would be fans of what other books?
Studs Terkel‘s books.

He was famous for being rather outspoken.
I want the reader to feel as if they had a very honest conversation with many people about drug culture.

Have you written any other books that we should read next?
Not yet. I am working on my next piece called, “All You Need Is Love,” a book in the same vein as in “Straight Dope,” but talking to people about love, relationships, dating, and finding that special someone.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am originally from Kansas City, Mo, now living in San Francisco, Ca. Writing is my favorite thing to do in the whole entire world. I also love traveling, music, movies, and photography. My fave artists are F.Scott Fitzgerald, James Joyce, Langston Hughes, Gordon Parks, Takashi Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Estevan Oriol, Boogie, and Maya Angelou.

Do you have a website where we can keep up with your work?

How can we follow you on Twitter and/or Facebook?
@MainlineLeRon – If you follow and hit me, I will hit you back!

What’s next?
Keep on writing and trying to be the best artist I can be!
